Vietnam Celebrates Year of the Snake with Vibrant Mascots

The People's Committee of Da Nang City has approved the acceptance of the project "Supporting children with treatment of genitourinary diseases" sponsored by the Asia Injury Prevention Foundation (A.I.P.F) and the project "Educating children on school nutrition for private kindergartens in the city" sponsored by Nagasaki University, Japan.

After Typhoon No. 3 passed, the people in the flood-affected areas of Northern Vietnam received timely and valuable assistance from foreign countries, international organizations, non-governmental organizations, and overseas Vietnamese communities. The emergency relief gifts and reconstruction activities not only helped the locals overcome immediate difficulties but also laid the foundation for long-term stability in their lives.

Images of trucks shielding motorbikes crossing a bridge during strong winds, people helping push vehicles through flooded areas, or opening doors to shelter the homeless during Typhoon Yagi (Storm No. 3) went viral on social media. These simple yet heartfelt acts of kindness have touched the hearts of people around the world.

The ancient village of Duong Lam in Hanoi’s Son Tay township is organizing a program named “Tet Lang Viet” (Tet in Vietnamese village) from January 18 to February 16 (the 19th day of the last lunar month to the 19th day of the first lunar month) to promote the value of the traditional Tet (Lunar New Year) festival.
