During the Vietnam – Japan gala night on January 12 in Da Nang city, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc said that through many ups and downs, Vietnam-Japan relations are now in the best development period.

The Vietnam – Japan gala night was held on January 12 in Da Nang city, to welcome the Japanese delegation of 1,000 people who are visiting Vietnam from Jan 11-14. The event was attended by Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and Secretary-General of the Japanese Liberal Democratic Party Nikai Toshihiro.

Speaking at the gala night, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc said that Vietnam always treasures Japan as a trustworthy, important and long-term partner.

According to Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Vietnam - Japan should work together to raise the relations to a new level. The two countries have many common interests to share. Vietnam currently has nearly 30,000 foreign enterprises investing and doing business with committed capital of over US$ 370 billion; in which, many large Japanese corporations are very successful in Vietnam.

In response, Mr. Nikai Toshihiro, Secretary-General of the Japanese Liberal Democratic Party said that the visit to Vietnam this time is a good chance for both sides to discuss how to improve cooperation in many fields.

At the gala night, the Japanese delegation officially announced that the government of Japan decided to establish a Consular Office of the Japanese Embassy in Da Nang City.
