Speaking at the Vietnam-China Economic and Trade Cooperation Conference in Beijing on May 12, President Tran Dai Quang affirmed Vietnam welcomes new investment flows from China.

Attending the seminar were economic trade officials of the two countries and hundreds of leading enterprises.
‘’ In long-term cooperative relations, we expect Chinese businesses and investors to pay special attention to environmental protection, employees' benefits, "President Tran Dai Quang stressed.
President Tran Dai Quang said that with the goal of raising the import-export turnover to USD 100 billion, Vietnam expects its processed seafood, electronics and consumer goods will have more favorable access to China’s market.
Simultaneously in the opposite direction, Vietnam will create conditions for technology products, components as well as consumer goods of China to reach the market of Vietnam with large scale.
The State President stressed that Viet Nam welcomes and is ready to create favorable conditions for Chinese businesses to invest effectively in the long run, in line with the sustainable development of Vietnam.
Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister Wang Yang said China did not want trade surplus for Vietnam and pledged to fight trade protectionism.
Deputy Prime Minister Wang Yang said China welcomed and created favorable conditions for Vietnamese businesses.
According to statistics, the two countries trade turnover reached $ 72 billion in 2016 and Vietnam is China's largest trading partner in ASEAN./.
