At the ceremony, Military attaché Vu Van Thu, on behalf of the Vietnamese embassy hailed the contribution of foreign volunteer soldiers, military specialists who dedicated strong supports to Vietnam in the cause of national safeguarding and development.

The ceremony was launched to partly realize one of the goals in bilateral ties set by President Tran Dai Quang during his visit to Belarus last June, which is strengthening the friendship between two countries’ people and promoting cooperations in all fields.

Senior Lieutenant M.Brindikov was the only son of his family. He was born in 1943 in Mogilev province, north of Belarus. He was the only one who laid down in Vietnam among the 205 Belarus military specialists supporting the country in the resistence war against the American imperialist from 1965-1972.
