Vietnamese students to bring home Israeli advanced farming technology

A graduation ceremony has been recently held for over 150 Vietnamese and Nepalese students who attended the International Course for Agriculture from 2016-2017 at Sedrot Negev Agriculture Centre (SNAC) in northern Israel.

(VNF) - A graduation ceremony has been recently held for over 150 Vietnamese and Nepalese students who attended the International Course for Agriculture from 2016-2017 at Sedrot Negev Agriculture Centre (SNAC) in northern Israel.

Delegates of Vietnamese and Nepalese embassy in Israel together with leaders of various governmental agricultural agencies in the host country attended the ceremony.

Especially, during the ceremony, there is a session showcasing excellent thesis of students, in which the Vietnamese students were proud to present their final term project on "Postharvest treatment for citrus fruit".

Vietnamese students also brought to the audience of the event exciting traditional arts performance.

Speaking at the event on July 6, Shlomo Nezer, director of SNAC said the course is exclusively designed for students from Asian countries, including Southeast Asia, and out of more than 150 graduates this year, about 50 come from Vietnam.

Khuat Van Quyen, representative of the Embassy of Vietnam in Israel, for his part, urged the Vietnamese graduates to work harder to learn more from Israel’s high technology and advanced management in agriculture so that they can further contribute to Vietnam’s agricultural development when returning home.
