The information was released by World Bank in the Connecting to Compete 2018 report.

This achievement of Vietnam is attributed to the collective efforts by ministries, industries, provinces and related stakeholders to reduce costs, improve service quality and strengthen competitive capacity for the logistics sector in support of the global economic integration of Vietnam.

The higher position on LPI also signifies that Vietnam has achieved one of the objectives stated in the Decision No. 200/QĐ-TTg dated February 14, 2017 by the Prime Minister on the action plan for improvement of competitiveness and development of Vietnam's logistics services by 2025, which stated: “Vietnam will rank 50th or above on the LPI ranking”./.
