Vietnam’s Weather Forecast (December 20): Cold Wave Intensifies In The Northern Region

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, an enhanced cold wave will affect the North and North Central regions, then some places in the South Central region.

In the North, Thanh Hoa and Nghe An, the weather continues to be cold, especially in the mountainous areas. During this cold air wave, the lowest temperature at night and early morning in the North, Thanh Hoa, and Nghe An is commonly 9-12 degrees.

The weather forecast in different regions

Northwest region: The weather forecast is predicted to be cloudy with moderate to heavy rain, and the temperature is extremely low. The lowest temperature is 12 – 15 degrees, in some places, it is below 10. The highest temperature is 23 – 26 degrees.

Northeast region: The weather will be cloudy and rainy, with cold weather in the evening and at night. The lowest temperature is 11 – 14 degrees, in some places, it is below 9. The highest temperature is 14 – 17 degrees.

Thanh Hoa – Thua Thien Hue: The weather is predicted to be cloudy and rainy in the early morning. The temperature drops in the evening and at night. The lowest temperature is 14 – 17 degrees. The highest temperature is 18 – 21 degrees, in some places, it is above 21.

Da Nang – Binh Thuan: The weather will be cloudy and rainy, with scattered thunderstorms within the region. During thunderstorms, tornadoes, lightning, and strong winds are possible. The lowest temperature is 23 – 26 degrees. The highest temperature is 28 – 31 degrees.

The Central Highlands: The weather forecast is predicted to be cloudy and sunny during the day, with scattered rain within the region. The lowest temperature is 18 – 21 degrees. The highest temperature is 26 – 29 degrees, in some places, it is above 29.

The Southern region: The weather is predicted to be sunny and cloudy in the early morning, with moderate rain and scattered thunderstorms. The lowest temperature is 23 – 26 degrees, and the highest is 31 – 34 degrees.

Hanoi: The weather forecast will be cloudy with scattered rain in some places. The temperature is freezing and harmful to people’s health. The lowest temperature is 12 – 14 degrees, and the highest is 15 – 17 degrees.

Ho Chi Minh City: According to the National Center for Hydrometeorological Forecasting, the weather in the Ho Chi Minh City area will be cloudy, sunny during the day, and rainy in the evening and at night. The temperature has little change and still fluctuates between 33 - 34 degrees.
