Volunteers praised for dedication in helping students in National Highschool Examination

(VNF) – Deputy Head of the Political Education & Students Affairs, Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) Bui Van Linh on June 25 visited and presented gifts to voluntary assisstants for candidates of the National Highschool Examination in two exam venues in Hanoi, namely the Hanoi Highschool for the Gifted in Sports and Marie Curie Highschool.

In the last 17 years, a programme to provide supports for candidates of the National Highschool Examination and their parents have been run effectively in many cities and provinces nationwide.

In the programme, students of universities and colleges work as voluntary assistants lending support to candidates and parents. Their main tasks are: ensuring traffic order; taking handicapped candidates to the exam venue; providing refreshment (water, cake) and other necessities to students and their parents.

This year, the Communist Youth Union at district, commune and municipal level are in charge of directing the voluntary assistants to ensure candidates’ safety and provide timely supports for them when they are in need.

In the afternoon of June 25, Deputy Head of the Political Education & Students Affairs (MOET), Bui Van Linh and representatives of the Communist Youth Union of Hanoi city and Vietnam National University visited and presented gifts to the volunteer teams in Hanoi Highschool for the Gifted in Sports and Marie Curie Highschool.

In the meeting, Linh praised the young people’s for enthusiastically undertaking the hard work to support the candidates and their parents.

According to him, the volunteers' work will contribute greatly to the success of the National Highschool Examination 2018.

“The volunteers need to take good care of themselves, ensuring they are at the best condition of physical and mental health, to be able to support the students until the end of the examination,” Linh said.

On the occasion, Linh also asked the Communist Youth Union of the city and universities to acknowledge the dedication of the volunteers.

At the Hanoi Highschool for the Gifted in Sports, volunteers have been showing good example of the support for candidates, such as transporting disadvantaged students to examination venue./.
