Widespread rains forecasted as Storm Son Tinh weakens

Ships seek shelters in Thanh Hoa Province
Rains will mostly occur in Hoa Binh, Son La, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh and Quang Binh provinces. In the next two days, rains will spread out to other midland and mountainous areas in the northwestern provinces such as Vinh Phuc, Phu Tho, Tuyen Quang and Yen Bai.
Many areas in Thanh Hoa Province are deeply submerged on July 19
The estimated rainfall is between 10cm to 20cm. Some areas may have more than 25cm of rainfall. Warnings over flash floods and landslides have been issued.
Provinces from Quang Tri to Thua Thien-Hue will experience heavy rains and an average temperature of 28 to 31 degrees. The temperatures at night are around 23 to 26 degrees. Rains will also occur in central provinces from Danang to Binh Thuan during the afternoons and evenings. The average temperatures are 31 to 34 degrees./.
