A photo exhibition displaying the achievements of the renewal, international integration process of Vietnam and the reform of China was inaugurated in the Vietnam – China Friendship Palace on September 28.

The exhibition was held by the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO), in coordination with the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, showcases 100 photos featuring achievements in Vietnam’s over-30-year renewal and international integration and China’s 40-year reform, and the bilateral comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.

The event was attended by Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and head of its Organisation Commission Pham Minh Chinh; Members of the Executive committee of the the Central Party, and leaders of VUFO, The Vietnam- China Friendship Organization; member of the Standing Board of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and Secretary of its Commission for Discipline Inspection, Zhao Leji; delegates of the Chinese Central Party Committee, diplomatics, representatives of the Chinese Embassy in Hanoi.

Speaking at the event, Vice President in-charge cum General Secretary of VUFO Don Tuan Phong said, Vietnam and China are two neighbor countries which share commonality in terms of political regime. Both are led by the Communist Party and in the middle of the dynamic international integration process, renewal and reform, striving toward socialism.

He affirmed the importance of the stability, development of Vietnam and China to each other, highlighting the traditional solidarity, friendship which were initiated by President Ho Chi Minh and Mao Zedong in the past, and has been greatly cultivated by the two peoples since then.

He also hailed the achievements of the 40-year reform journey of China and 30 years of renewal of Vietnam, which bring happiness to the peoples. Based on these achievements, he affirmed the rightfulness of the choice to keep following the Communist party.

He also expressed his belief that the photo exhibition will help increase mutual understanding, trust of two sides, the cooperation and persify the Vietnam-China comprehensive trategic partnerships.

Sharing the view of VUFO Vice President Don Tuan Phong, President of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship, Lee Xiaolin hailed the role of the photo exhibition as a platform to convey the trust of two Parties, two countries’s efforts, the development of the partnerships and the wish of two sides' peoples in pursuing happiness together.

She also recalled various activities conducted by two sides in past years, and emphasized that the Chinese People's Association for Friendship's wish to contribute to the development of the relations, deepening the mutual understanding, fostering friendship of two peoples, ensuring Vietnam and China keep on being good neighbors, good comrades, good friends and good partners.

Ealier on the same day, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and head of its Organisation Commission Pham Minh Chinh held talks with Zhao Leji, member of the Standing Board of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China’s Central Committee and Secretary of its Commission for Discipline Inspection, in Hanoi on September 28./.
