According to the Vietnamese Embassy in Venezuela, Deputy Minister of Culture Ali Alejandro Primera, also a renowned Venezuelan musician, expressed his deep affection and admiration for Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh. Since childhood, he has been profoundly influenced by melodies celebrating Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh, composed by his grandfather—the late Venezuelan People's Artist, Ali Primera. These include 'Forever Ho Chi Minh' (Inolvidable Ho Chi Minh), 'Portrait of Ho Chi Minh' (La figura de Ho Chi Minh), and 'Vietnamese Woman' (La Mujer de Vietnam).

In the upcoming event, Deputy Minister Primera, alongside Venezuelan artists, will perform these songs, along with iconic works by international revolutionary musicians, such as 'The Right to Live in Peace' by Chilean musician Victor Jara and 'The Ballad of Ho Chi Minh' by British musician Ewan MacColl, translated into Spanish by the late Chilean musician Rolando Alarcón.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Venezuela, Vu Trung My, expressed gratitude for the affection that Deputy Minister Primera and his family hold for President Ho Chi Minh, recognizing it as a powerful testament to the friendship between Vietnam and Venezuela. The Ambassador also highlighted that, on this occasion, the Embassy continues to advance the project, "Honoring President Ho Chi Minh: Hero of Vietnamese National Liberation and Outstanding Cultural Figure." The project aims at promoting and disseminating the ideological, moral, and personal legacy of President Ho Chi Minh, while celebrating Vietnam and its people in Venezuela and the Latin American region.

Venezuela celebrates Vietnam's 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification

On the morning of May 2 (local time), the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) and the Vietnamese Embassy in Venezuela jointly organized a commemorative event at the 'Antonio Jose de Sucre' International Youth Leadership Training School in Caracas. The event marked the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2025).

According to the Vietnam News Agency (VNA), PSUV Vice President for Foreign Affairs, Rander Peña, extended heartfelt congratulations to the Party, State, Government, and people of Vietnam on this historic occasion. He highlighted that the Great Spring Victory of 1975 was a triumph of justice, progressive forces, and peace-loving people worldwide, including the Venezuelan people.

Peña emphasized that the victory of April 30 is deeply intertwined with President Ho Chi Minh and the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam. He noted that this milestone continues to inspire nations striving for independence, freedom, self-determination, justice, and social progress.

On this occasion, Peña urged the youth of Venezuela and Latin America—particularly students at 'Antonio Jose de Sucre'—to follow Vietnam's example and the legacy of President Ho Chi Minh. He encouraged them to be pioneers, role models, and a driving force in the pursuit of justice and social progress.

In celebration of the 50th anniversary, President Nicolás Maduro, Chairman of the PSUV, along with senior party leaders, shared congratulatory messages on social media, expressing admiration and deep respect for President Ho Chi Minh and the Communist Party of Vietnam.

Additionally, the Venezuelan Government issued an official statement congratulating Vietnam’s Party, State, Government, and people. The statement underscored that, under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Vietnamese people successfully liberated the South and reunified the country. It described the victory of April 30 as a defining milestone in modern world history—a beacon of inspiration for oppressed peoples in their fight for justice.
