12 freshmen receive Kumho Asiana scholarship
The 12th Kumho Asiana scholarship awarding ceremony and the final round of the 7th Korean language speaking contest was recently held in the Vietnam National University (VNU), Hanoi.

In the ceremony, 12 freshmen nationwide were awarded the scholarship. The scholarship will assist the recipients throughout the whole university course.
Kumho Asiana founded Kumho Asiana Vietnam Scholarship & Cultural Foundation (KVSC) in 2007.
Kumho Asiana is the largest scholarship foundation in Vietnam. The foundation not only presents one-time scholarship to selected students but also grant scholarship throughout the course. By now, 1,500 Vietnamese students have been benefited by the Kumho Asiana scholarship.
In addition to scholarship, Kumho is also an active sponsor for various event promoting education and cultural exchange, including the Korean language speaking contest. This year, in the seventh season of the contest, 16 contestants from the North, the Central and South were selected to enter the final round.
The reward for all of the 16 finalists is a one-week trip to Korea. The first, second and third place winners are granted scholarship to study in Korea in one year, six months and three months, respectively. All the expenses including expense for travel, food, accomodation and tuition fee will be subsidized by Kumho Asiana and an university in Korea./.
