The Vietnam International Trade Fair (Vietnam Expo 2023), one of the leading international trade exhibitions in Vietnam, convened in Ho Chi Minh City on December 7. |
Each major sector is accompanied by specialized events designed to enhance the experience for participants and visitors to the expo. Activities include industrial park tours, DIY workshops, seminars, and conferences, competitions, and demonstrations. These events aim to provide valuable industry knowledge, foster creativity, and encourage active participation, enriching the overall experience for all participants.
One of the highlights of the expo is a special area displaying key products from Belarus, the Republic of Korea, Sri Lanka, China, and India.
According to Nguyen Van Nga, an official of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the annual international trade fair has been designed to boost trade and investment cooperation between Vietnam and countries across the world.
With specialized areas set up, the expo gives enterprises and visitors the chance to gain access to new technological trends, innovative products, advanced technologies, and fresh business models, said the official.

Many conferences and trade and investment promotion events, including the Vietnam-Belarus business forum, also is held on the sidelines of the expo.
"With this exhibition in Ho Chi Minh City, we hope to expand the number of customers in Vietnam. After this exhibition, we hope sales can increase by about 100%," Valery Ivashko, representative of the Southeast Asia, Minsk Automobile Planth Company, told VTV.
This is not the first time Ivashko has attended fairs in Vietnam, but this event is considered a good opportunity for his company to expand its customers in the southern region. In addition to the Belarus national pavilion area, trade connection activities through seminars are also organized to support businesses from other countries.
"The previous exhibition sales increased by about 30%, I also expect this time to increase similarly or higher," said Tran Quang Manh, Sales Director of Nhat Minh Company.
Expectations of increased sales after the fair are not unfounded. According to statistics from the organizing committee, last year, Vietnam Expo had about 850 direct trade transactions at the fair. The companion event, the Vietnam Supporting Industry Fair, also sets aside a separate area for Vietnamese companies in this field.
Vietnam Expo 2023 is scheduled to run until December 9.
