14 Vietnamese schools receive the International School Award

(VNF)  - The British Council recently presented the “International School Award”  (ISA) to 14 schools in Vietnam with excellent performance in the ISA project 2016-2017.

Key criteria to shortlist the awarded schools are aligned with those have been practiced in over 50 countries across the world.

ISA is a global project for secondary and highschool, initiated by the British Council.

The project has so far attracted participants from over 2,000 schools in over 50 countries. With the creative and practical approach, the project has received positive feedback from the Ministry of Education and Training, especially in in teaching methods innovation, international learning development, creative learning for students and foster teachers' professional development.

In Vietnam, the British Council has recognized 26 schools as ISA since the project debut in 2015.

Some of the teaching models applied in awarded schools include "Planting trees" (combining Biology and Citizen Education to help students gain understanding on global issues), and the cultural exchange programme themed"Traditional dance" (jointly conducted with schools from Singapore)./.
