Together with Japan cherry blossom trees, this year’s festival showcased the special beauty of Yen Tu yellow apricot flowers. This precious and beautiful apricot trees blossoms on Yen Tu moutain at the height of 1,000 metres above sea level. The flower symbolise patience and the will to overcome all difficulties.

Although it is similar to the southern yellow apricot blossom, the northern variety can be distinguished by several different properties due to the unique sub-tropical climate of the area. The main differences include the lime yellow colour of the flower and a quintuple petal (instead of a sextuple petal).
