21 Vietnamese students receive ASEAN scholarship
21 promising Vietnamese students recently received the ASEAN Scholarship to pursue their highschool and university education in Singapore.

According to the Embassy of Singapore in Vietnam, 21 promising Vietnamese students, including 11 from the North and 10 from the South have been granted the ASEAN Scholarship.
These students will commence their 4-year study in Singapore from the 2019 academic year.
In the scholarship awarding ceremony held in Hanoi yesterday, 8 Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) scholarship recipients were also congratulated.
The ASEAN Scholarship aims to provide opportunities to the bright students of ASEAN countries to study in Singapore. As part of the ASEAN community studying in Singapore, they will be given opportunities to broaden their horizons and develop important skills such as leadership, communication and life skills to equip them for the 21st century.
The ASEAN Scholarships for Vietnam is tenable for 4 years leading to the award of the Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education Advanced (GCE A-Level) (or equivalent) certificate.
The Scholarship is for studies in selected Singapore schools from Secondary 3 to Pre-University 2 and is renewed annually, subject to the satisfactory performance of the scholar./.
