44 Laotian and Cambodian doctors graduate from Vietnam training program
The ceremony witnessed the participation of representatives from Embassy of Laos, Embassy of Cambodia, Vietnam – Laos Friendship Association, Vietnam – Cambodia Friendship Association and Thai Binh Union of Friendship Organizations.

Besides training medical staff for Vietnam, Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy has also performed well the responsibility of training doctors for Laos PDR since 1969 and the Kingdom of Cambodia since 1989
Up to now, there has been a lot of Laotian and Cambodian students graduating from Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy. They are making great contribution to health care for people of these two countries. Many of them have been assumed important positions in Ministry of Health in Laos and Cambodia.
Associate Prof. Dr. Hoang Trong Nang – Rector of Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy expressed his gratitude to relevant organization for their great support. Especially, the Thai Binh provincial Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Association sponsored 20 Cambodian students. This activity helps students not only to receive professional training but also to receive affection and beautiful memories about Vietnam, contributing to cultivating the friendship between Vietnam - Cambodia and Vietnam – Laos.
Representative of the Cambodian Embassy in Vietnam, Mr. Op Sophy appreciated the university’s favors for international students. At the same time, he also appreciated the affections that Vietnamese teachers have for Cambodian students and Laotian students, contributing to fostering the friendship and solidarity relations between Vietnam - Cambodia and Vietnam - Laos.
Preah Sophonarith and Bounpheng Lattamsathid representing Cambodian and Laotian students respectively expressed their gratitude to the Government of Vietnam, the Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy for their wholeheartedly caring to international students. The two new doctors said they would always remember Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy where they had been 6 years and considered as second home.

Also at the ceremony, the Vietnam-Laos Friendship Association gave 10 million dong to Sanout Sodarluk - a Laotian student who unfortunately suffers a stroke and is being treated at Thai Binh Medical University Hospital.
