9th Vietnam-China People’s Forum kicks off

(VNF) - The ninth Vietnam-China People’s Forum in Hanoi was kicked off on November 11th. Twenty-five Chinese and Vietnam delegates from political, economic, academic and diplomacy sectors attended the Forum.

In his opening speech, Don Tuan Phong, Vice President in-charge and General Secretary of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations (VUFO) wishes the Forum a great success, hopefully in constructive spirit, the two countries' representatives will discuss the current situation of the Vietnam-China relationship, while giving ideas to promote the friendship and tradition of Vietnam and China in all fields for the benefits and interests of the two nations as well as the peace, stability and prosperity of the world, and to push forward all kinds of exchange activities, in a bid to make further contributions to enhancing mutual understanding, trust and friendship ties between Vietnam and China.

The bilateral event was co-initiated in 2010 by the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations (VUFO) and the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC).

During the ninth Vietnam-China People’s Forum, taking place from November 10th-14th in three locations including Hanoi, Nha Trang and Khanh Hoa, the Chinese delegation was headed by Li Xiaolin, CPAFFC President./.
