A man arrested for transport of heroin in Son La province
The police Department for Investigation of Drug-related Crimes under the Son La Police and Phu Yen district police arrested a man for illegal transporting a large volume of drugs by motorbike in Tuong Tien commune, Phu Yen district, on October 16th.

The trafficker named Nguyen Duc Nam, 30, from Tan An commune, Yen Dung district, Bac Giang province was stopped by police on his motorbike and found to be in possession of 15 cakes of heroin and subsequently arrested.
Nam confessed that he had been hired by his older brother to go to Son La province to collect the drugs from a dealer. Nam gave the motorbike to the dealer and when the motorbike was returned to him, the concealed cash had been replaced with the heroin. Nam would then transport the merchandise to Dong Dang town, Lang Son province to hand it over to a local dealer. He would be paid VND20 million when finishing his assigned task.
Nam also confessed to have made the trip regularly for his brother. Nguyen Duc Nam has got married with two children. His family is living with parents-in-law in Ha Nam province. He told his wife that he went to Hanoi to install water and electricity system. His wife thought that his husband has a sustainable work so she felt secure to take care of their children./.
