Globally, there is a growing demand for accurate information on products as products move from point of origin to point of consumption. People are beginning to ask where their goods come from and who made them.

In Vietnam, there is a dire need for exact information related to product origins in addition to official rhetoric and proliferation of consumer complaints on which to base the trust relationship between businesses and consumers. Trust and lack of transparency are issues that are common in many industries in the face of increasing demand by consumers for improved and more trustworthy information.

The Quan Ba district Development Assistance Management Board organized a four-day training course on the production film process in order to provide consumers with valuable information from point of origin to point of consumption.

Participating in the training course, there were 25 members of the Mong ethnic group, including some children. They are the core members of two small reporter clubs and Lanh Can Ty Cooperative.

The training course has provided members with access to basic concepts in film production including writing script, camera skills, editing, interviewing and dubbing. After that, the members were pided into groups to practice producing a short film with the theme "Promoting line products of Can Ty".

At the end of the training course, the participants were able to produce a video about the production process of local linen products, which will improve the products' public image; and thereby will attract a number of tourists to Quan Ba cooperative.
