The recognition came after the National Agro-Forestry-Fisheries Quality Assurance Department (Nafiqad) of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development made the proposal to the FSIS, according to a statement released by Nafiqad on June 13th.
Accordingly, there are a remaining four companies previously proposed by the Vietnamese Department which have not been added to the qualified list yet. It will discuss and recommend that the FSIS soon recognize them.
Nafiqad has asked the 12 approved companies to actively and strictly check their processing operations to enable their catfish products to meet the strict requirements from FSIS./.
