Before having Uy Vu, Nhu Tung (32 years old, currently living and working in Gunma province, Japan) and his wife often traveled to new lands. Both are passionate about travel, so they feel trapped during the time when his wife gives birth to the baby, as well as the time staying at home because of the pandemic. When the baby was 1 month old, the pandemic was less serious, Tung often took his wife and the baby out for a walk, to the supermarket, to the shopping mall. When the baby was about 3-4 months old, he started traveling with his family.
Recently, Uy Vu has completed a 6 day 5 night trip to explore Japan with his parents. He visited places like Tokyo, Saitama, Ibaraki, Nagano, Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, Kobe, Tochigi. At every tourist destination that Uy Vu has been to, his parents take cute photos of him sitting on the baby chair.
The boy's cute expression tickled both Japanese and Vietnamese hearts. Everyone feels so in love with these pictures. Although he is only 8 months old, many admire the baby's strength and sense of adventure.
As a traveler with a baby, Tung often researches and learns about destinations carefully before each trip.
"Traveling long distances with small children requires parents to prepare carefully in all aspects such as schedules, locations, vehicles, and luggage for a smooth trip. This ensures the health of the children and parents can still enjoy their vacation," said Tung. "Before the trip, I often research carefully the details of the place I want to go before planning. I find out the cultural characteristics of that place, arrange the places I want to go and where to stay, the local specialties to suit my family members, the weather to choose the right clothes.
'I do not plan a heavy schedule of moving or sightseeing because this will make the whole family exhausted during the trip. Because I have a small child, my top priority is transportation and accommodation. In Japan, people limit making noise and affecting others. Therefore, when looking for a hotel for my family, I will try to find a homestay to avoid affecting other people. Normally, every time I plan to go somewhere, I will be the one to arrange the schedule and my wife will be the one to prepare the luggage for the family. My wife is a careful and caring person."

Tung said Japan has a lot of beautiful destinations so it will be difficult to see all of them in a short trip. |
Before that, his wife breastfed her baby, so the family's trip was simple. Now that the baby is 8 months old, entering the weaning period, they need to carry more stuff.
However, Tung still chose the most minimalist luggage. He also does not arrange a tight schedule so that the child does not get tired.

"Traveling early, so the boy is not sick, he is quite bold, not passive with strangers and crowds. He is friendly and knows how to attract others' attention.
Many times, my husband and I joke that because normally children look at their parents' faces too much, so when going out to meet everyone, they are always smiling and happy," Tung said.
