According to the diplomat, the program will include the performance of artistic companies and exhibitions of Vietnamese craftsmen in Minsk and Brest.

Vietnam and Belarus have been intensively developing bilateral relations in the recent years, Le Anh said. He emphasized the importance of Vietnam President Tran Dai Quang's visit to Minsk in June 2017. “The two countries signed a wide range of documents, laying the foundation for further bilateral cooperation in all areas, especially in the trade and economic sector. I hope that the joint efforts of ministries, agencies, commercial organizations will help the two countries reach $500 million in mutual trade. The forthcoming meeting of the intergovernmental commission will play an important role in achieving this goal,” the ambassador said.

The ambassador also spoke about the historical importance of Vietnam's reunification in 1975. Years have passed. The country has been peacefully developing and making great progress. The diplomat expressed his sincere gratitude to the Belarusian people for their help and support in the fight for the reunification and revival of the country. “I am especially grateful to the Belarusian veterans who, during the most difficult moments of this struggle, were shoulder to shoulder with our people,” Le Anh stressed.

Viktor Rybak, Head of the Department for Asia, Australia and Oceania of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, praised Vietnam's current progress and expressed confidence in great prospects for the Belarusian-Vietnamese cooperation. Chairwoman of the Belarusian Society of Friendship and Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries Nina Ivanova stressed the role of people's diplomacy in contacts with Vietnam./.
