The 18^th Cao Bang provincial Party Congress for the 2015-2020 tenure was held on October 15^th with the participation of 350 delegates representing over 47,800 Party members.

The political report by the 17^th provincial Party Executive Committee during the Congress showed that the province had gained a range of significant achievements in all areas. The economic structure underwent a positive shift with a reduction in agricultural and forestry production and an increase in the industrial, construction and service production.

Attending the Congress, General Ngo Xuan Lich, Party Central Committee Secretary, a member of the Central Military Party Standing Committee, Head of the General Department of Politics, urged the province to effectively exploit the potential for high and sustainable growth, with a focus on developing agricultural products, farmers and rural areas, together with synchronous infrastructure for socio-economic development in the next 5 years.

He also asked the province to increase the quality of education and training, persify medical services in order to provide better healthcare to the people, ensure security and defence, and care for the building of the Party and the political system./.
