Central farmers improve rice-harvesting technology
Farmers in the central province of Nghe An are stepping into rice harvesting season. On the fields, rice-harvesting machines are used to improve production.
Manual machines have become popular tools in harvesting rice.
On average, to harvest rice for some 360 square metres by machines, farmers have to pay VND100,000-120,000.
It takes under 2 hours to harvest one rod of rice with the machines.
Rice is dried onsite.
Machines become more popular to farmers.
Rice harvesting machines running by oil are popular in each farmer’s family.
Plucking rice off the ears helps farmers’ work easier.
Farmers transport rice from fields to homes.
Rice straw is used for cattle.
