Ceremony Held to Introduce First Armenian Book Translated to Vietnamese

This is the message shared by Yoshioka Tatsuya, Co-founder and Executive Director of Peace Boat, in an interview with VietnamTimes magazine on the sidelines of the exchange program “Time for Peace: Writing the Next Chapter.” The event was jointly organized by the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO), Peace Boat, and two Nobel Peace Prize laureate organizations, Nihon Hidankyo and the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN) in Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Province.

On May 2, as part of his journey accompanying the sacred relics of Buddha Shakyamuni to Vietnam for the 2025 United Nations Vesak Festival, Kiren Rijiju, India’s Minister for Parliamentary and Minority Affairs, met with the Vietnam-India Friendship Association in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC). The meeting underscored the deep cultural and diplomatic ties between the two nations, further strengthening their historical bonds through this momentous occasion.

On April 30, in Ho Chi Minh City, Do Van Chien, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, and Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, met with an international delegation comprising individuals who had supported Vietnam during its resistance war for national independence and reunification. Organized by the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, the event marked the delegation’s visit to Vietnam in honor of the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification.
