Competition Held to Raise Awareness and Skills for Ethnic Minority Female Students
With the participation of 6 Brighter Path Girls’ Clubs in Thai Nguyen province, the competition brought a meaningful playground, providing opportunities for ethnic minority female students to exchange and learn while conveying positive and impactful messages through the competition’s content.
The competition consists of two rounds – the online voting round took place from November 11, 2023, to November 17, 2023, and the live round took place on the afternoon of November 25, 2023. |
The six Girls’ Clubs participating in the “From Knowledge to Action” competition included Bac Son High School, Dinh Hoa High School, Nguyen Hue High School, Phu Luong High School, Phu Binh High School, and Vo Nhai High School.
In the first round of the competition, the female students came up with creative and vivid ideas and designs on the topics of “Sexual and Reproductive Health” and “Personal Finance”. |
With the content revolving around four themes: Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health, Legal Rights, Personal Financial Management, and Life Skills, the competition provided opportunities for ethnic minority female students to unleash their creativity and apply the knowledge and skills they have learned through their club activities to real-life situations.
The second round of the competition comprises three sessions: Greetings, Who’s Faster, and Debating. During the “Greetings” segment, the six teams delivered choreographed performances infused with distinct cultural and ethnic elements. In the “Who’s Faster” competition, the teams took turns answering 10 knowledge questions and interacted with the audience, garnering enthusiastic participation. |
The competition entries were posted and voted online on the VinaCapital Foundation’s fan page.
Lastly, the Debating competition unfolded between the competing pairs, featuring intense discussions on Can money buy happiness?, Men build houses, women build homes, and Is it advisable to pursue a romantic relationship during school years? |
With the support of government agencies and program partners, the “From Knowledge to Action” competition of the Brighter Path program was a resounding success, leaving behind many beautiful memories for the female students and the guests.
