Customs clearance duration for export and import goods shortened to 1-3 seconds
As many as 53,200 businesses nationwide have joined the Vietnam Automated Cargo and Port Consolidated System and Vietnam Customs Information System (VNACCS/VCIS), with 6.3 million declarations, grossing a trade revenue of more than USD256 billion, reported the General Department of Vietnam Customs.

According to the general departments, duration for receiving, dealing with and responding to declaration information through the systems is one to three seconds. Commodities which are exempted from document checking only take one to three seconds for custom clearance.
Through the VNACCS/VCIS, custom procedures are less wordy and customs clearance time is much shorter. Businesses only spend three seconds registering custom declarations through the system. Average time for registering custom declarations and receiving customs clearances for imported commodities is 34 hours.
Meanwhile, businesses only wait for 6 hours for registering custom declarations and receiving custom clearances for exported commodities./.
