The complex has been built on an area of 10 hectares with a total capital of nearly VND900 billion.
So far nearly VND400 billion has been invested in the building of the first phase of the project, ensuring the daily treatment of 200 tons of waste. When the second phase is completed by late 2016, the complex will be able to treat 700 tons of waste per day.
According to Nguyen Van Tuan, President of the Board of Directors and General Director of the Vietnam Environment Joint-Stock Company , the company has mastered technologies to treat the waste without burying it or polluting the environment. Notably, the technologies can help to reuse the solid components in producing useful products.
Putting into operation, the complex will help Da Nang city to realise its plan in developing a city for the environment. It also holds great significance for residents’ living environment as the city does not have any land left for burying waste./.
