Da Nang provides housing support for nearly 1,200 beneficiaries’ families
During its implementation of social welfare programs, over the past years, Da Nang city has issued a wide range of policies in support of poor families, revolutionary contributors’ families and extremely disadvantaged ethnic minority families, especially in terms of housing support.

In 2014, based on the Prime Minister’s Decision 22 on giving housing support to revolutionary contributors, the city has built and repaired 950 houses for extremely disadvantaged beneficiaries’ families from a fund valued at over VND22.6 billion.
So far in 2015, over VND32.3 billion has been spent building 201 houses and repairing 987 others for beneficiaries’ and ethnic minority families.
Recently, the city Party Committee Secretary, Tran Tho has launched a program to build and repair an additional 1,000 houses for beneficiaries’ families and poor people.
Each year, over 20,000 beneficiaries in Da Nang City enjoy preferential policies from the central and city levels. However, there remain a large number of beneficiaries’ families leading difficult lives or living in inadequate houses.
Since 1998, some 20,000 families in the city has received housing support worth over VND300 billion./.
