Da Nang’s UXO victims receive support
(VNF) - The Da Nang Bombs and Mines Action Support Association on January 6 held a ceremony to mark their one-year development and offered support to unexploded ordnance (UXO) victims in 2018.
In the ceremony, the Association's activities in over the past one year were reviewed. Accordingly, Da Nang Bombs and Mines Action Support Association have effectively conducted their information dissemination program in various forms and contents, contributing to raising people’s awareness of minimizing accidents caused by UXO as well as mobilize groups and inpiduals' efforts to deal with the UXOs issues.

Handing over the gifts to UXO victims
At the event, the association handed over VND 225 million to support 15 disabled people and 24 UXO victims.
The Da Nang Bombs and Mines Action Support Association, established in 2016, is a member of the Vietnam Bombs and Mines Action Support Association. The Association is responsible for raising public awareness of preventing bomb and mine accidents, supporting poor victims of bombs and mines in Da Nang and neighbouring localities, and deploying programmes regarding the settlement of leftover UXOs.
The association has so far supported 134 victims with sponsorship value of VND 990 million, helping them stabilize their life./.
