Music lovers will meet famous artists, enjoy classical music in a youthful style, and experience a unique performance space while maintaining quintessential artistic values. At the same time, the audience will also witness the incredible performance organizations such as Arietta, Song Hong Ensemble, Schubert in a Mug, Vietnam Youth Music Institute - VYMI, Vietnam Youth Orchestra, independent musicians, and Vietfest's extensive experience in organizing cultural and artistic events.
The concert “Sound of Brass” with the combination of the Hanoi and Da Lat brass communities will open the festival on March 10. Next is the opera concert "Season of Love" with classic excerpts, especially the ones from Mozart's "The Magic Flute," which promises to be the festival's highlight.
On March 11, a special flag-raising ceremony of the People's Committee of Da Lat City will take place with brass musicians from all over the country.
Notably, the opening concert of the exhibition "Dialogue about Time" introduced the works of famous painter Nguyen Tu Nghiem - one of the four pillars of Indochina fine arts to the public.
He is famous for some of the most incredible works such as “Giong”, “Dieu Mua Co”, “12 Con Giap”, and “Con Nghe Qua Thuc,” among others. His works show the essence of ancient Vietnamese fine arts and his unlimited creativity.
The exhibition is an opportunity for audiences to see with their own eyes the original 12 zodiac paintings by famous artist Nguyen Tu Nghiem, published for the first time in Da Lat.
Within the framework of the festival, there will also be a seminar on "Classical Music for Everyone." Domestic and international experts will discuss topics surrounding classical music. The public will also be able to chat with the exhibition curator and collector, introducing the works in the 12 zodiac painting series by artist Nguyen Tu Nghiem.
The closing concert program of the Classical Music Festival will welcome all members to perform as a community, with no restrictions on age, level, or musical instrument. The Organizing Committee hopes this will be a part of beautiful memories, marking the first time the Classical Music Festival takes place in Vietnam.

As soon as the city was recognized, Da Lat City (Lam Dong) implemented solutions to preserve and promote the development of diverse forms of music.
According to Dang Quang Tu, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Lat, the city is committed to fulfilling its responsibilities when joining the UNESCO Creative Cities Network. The city is committed to facilitating the development of community music and consolidating the network system of music and art creative spaces.
In Vietnam, Hanoi was the first city to join the UNESCO Creative Cities Network in 2019.
UNESCO launched the Creative Cities Network in 2004 to promote cooperation among cities that recognize creativity as a significant factor in their development. The network recognizes seven factors – craft and folk arts, media, film, design, gastronomy, literature, and music – as creative fields.
As of 2023, 301 cities have become members of this network, including 61 cities in the field of music.
This event not only showcases the rich tapestry of classical music but also reinforces the importance of creative expression as a cornerstone of community and development. As Da Lat and Vietnam continue to carve out their niche on the world stage, the VCMF stands as a testament to the transformative power of music and the arts.
