The granting aims to encourage the pupils to continue to gain good academic results in a new school-year.

This was the second time the scholarships were provided for disadvantaged pupils in the province. In 2012, the program benefited 130 poor pupils with scholarships worth VND390 million.

The program on granting scholarships for poor pupils who gain excellent academic results has been carried out by NFVC since 1993. So far, over 35,000 scholarships have been presented to disadvantaged pupils and those who are children of wounded soldiers, martyrs and those from ethnic minorities.

The scholarship program “Going to school with you” was launched in 2012. Since then, the program has reached children in 63 provinces and cities across the country, with over VND25 billion having been spent on assisting thousands of poor pupils continuing their study./.
