The delegation, led by Estonian Ambassador to Vietnam Hannes Hanso, includes representatives from Estonian ICT companies, Trade Estonia, and the Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. At an information exchange event on November 5, Ambassador Hannes Hanso remarked, “Estonia is globally recognized as a digital nation, with 99% of public services provided online, and the government has been paperless for over 15 years.

This achievement has been made possible through close collaboration with advanced domestic technology companies, which now offer services across continents." Ambassador Hannes Hanso expressed his enthusiasm for being in Vietnam with a delegation of Estonia’s leading IT companies, interested in forging partnerships with the Vietnamese government and private sector. “I hope this visit will benefit both Vietnam and Estonia through experience-sharing and relationship-building across new fields,” he emphasized.

The Estonian delegation is scheduled to meet with representatives from the Vietnamese government, the National Innovation Center (NIC), the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (EuroCham), and the Central and Eastern European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (CEEC).

The delegation will also visit top Vietnamese universities and IT corporations, including Vietnam National University, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, FPT Telecom, GMO-Z.com RUNSYSTEM, Savvycom, and TMA Solutions. Special networking events in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City will bring together stakeholders, organizations, and industry leaders from both countries.

The Estonian enterprises visiting Vietnam bring extensive expertise across various fields to drive innovation and technological efficiency. These companies include DreamApply (application management software for educational institutions), Finbite (a fintech company offering user-friendly financial management and invoicing tools), Wisercat Software (IT consulting and software development, providing digital transformation services across sectors), Ampron (smart LED and LCD panels for traffic solutions), and AdoptoMedia (hybrid AI solutions for revenue forecasting and budget optimization).

Estonia is recognized as one of the world’s most digitally advanced nations, pioneering the creation of a digital society and setting global standards. Estonian ICT companies are eager to share their knowledge with Vietnam and explore collaboration opportunities.

Estonia’s digital business and governance ecosystem provides a unique and scalable model that fosters growth and global innovation, aligning well with Vietnam’s ambitious digital transformation goals.

Previous Estonian business delegations in sectors like agriculture, F&B, and ICT have laid the foundation for strong bilateral cooperation with Vietnam. In 2023, Estonia's exports to Vietnam reached €9.64 million, while imports from Vietnam amounted to €42 million, with key products including wood, pulp materials, and organic chemicals. There is significant growth potential in trade and cooperation.

As Vietnam continues its digital development journey, and both countries pursue their digitalization goals, this visit represents an important opportunity to explore synergies between their technology ecosystems. Estonia’s world-class digital infrastructure experience and Vietnam’s rapid technological growth open doors to future-oriented collaboration, fostering innovation across diverse industries.
