This is the fourth French space in Vietnam and the first French space in Hanoi.

The establishment of Espace France is an effort of the French Embassy to popularize the French language and culture. The project was kick started in September 2018.

Espace France is not only a reception office to provide information and introduction about France, the Francophone Community, but also an ideal study and research corner, offering a perse and quality source of reference materials.

Various activities will be conducted at Espace France, such as: capacity building for French language teachers; supporting the teaching work and management of educational projects of the Hanoi French Teacher Association, providing consulting service regarding study in France, helping manage the Vietnam alumni network in France and organizing activities for the French theatre club of ULIS.

As an open and friendly space, Espace France is expected to attract not only lecturers and students of ULIS, but also those from secondary and highschools teaching French in Hanoi and the neighborhood as well as anyone who love French.

"The French space will help the school expand partnerships with French teaching institutions, businesses and organizations using French in Vietnam and abroad," said ULIS Rector Do Tuan Minh.
