Freight route at Vietnam – China Border Gate opens to traffic
VNF - Vietnam’s Lang Son province and China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region co-organised a ceremony in Vietnam’s northern province of Lang Son, on September 11, to open a freight route connecting Vietnam and China at the Huu Nghi (Friendship) International Border Gate in Lang Son province.

In attendance at the ceremony were Vietnam’s Politburo member Truong Hoa Binh and Permanent Deputy Prime Minister, alongside a number leaders of Vietnam’s ministries, branches, and localities; China’s Deputy Communist Party Secretary of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Sun Dawei.

Addressing the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Lang Son provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Cong Truong described the opening of the route as an important event marking a milestone in promoting exchanges as well as economic and trade cooperation between Lang Son and China’s Guangxi province.
It will also contribute to the deepening of the comprehensive cooperation and strategic partnership between the two countries, he added.

Furthermore, the road promises to create an important premise for the businesses of the two countries in strengthening their trade relations, importing and exporting of goods; contributing to maintaining the growth momentum of trade exchanges between Vietnam, China and ASEAN countries.
