Gathering in HCM City celebrates China’s National Day
(VNF) - A get-together took place in Ho Chi Minh City in the morning of September 22nd to mark the 68th National Day of China (October 1st, 1949 - 2017).

Speaking at the event, Duong Quan Ha, Chairman of the municipal chapter of the Vietnam - China Friendship Association, stressed that over the past years, the Vietnam-China relationship has maintained visits between senior leaders, strengthening political trust, improving the effectiveness of cooperation, controlling and resolving disputes satisfactorily, promoting relations between the two parties and the two States to develop steadily, sustainably and in depth.
In addition, exchanges and cooperation between ministries, localities and people of the two countries have been increasingly tightened, trade and economic cooperation has taken new steps to bring about practical benefits for both countries.
He also highlighted collaboration in friendship activities, charity and delegation exchanges among his agency, the Chinese Consulate-General and Chinese businesses in the city has contributed significantly to cementing the two countries’ traditional ties.
For his part, Chinese Consul General in HCM City Chen Dehai said praised the Vietnam-China friendship, saying it is a valuable asset for both countries, adding that in recent year, two countries' relations have been fostered by their leaders and people to thrive across politics, trade and cultural exchange.

He also thanked and highly appreciated the HCM City Union of Friendship Organisations (HUFO) and the City Vietnam-China Friendship Association for their support on promoting people-to-people diplomacy and organising exchange programs, contributing to the inheritance and development of traditional friendship between Vietnam and China.
He stated that the Chinese Party and Government always treasure cooperation and friendship with Vietnam and will continue cementing and developing the partnership toward stability and prosperity./.
