For the 8th time, the Goethe-Institut presents the German Film Festival in Vietnam. A selection of the newest and most successful German films will be screened in Hanoi, Hai Phong, Da Nang, Hue and Ho Chi Minh City from September 6th.

(VNF) - A selection of the newest and most successful German films will be screened in Hanoi, Hai Phong, Da Nang, Hue and Ho Chi Minh City from September 6th the Goethe-Institut.

German award-winning films to be screened in Vietnam

“24 weeks” tells a story about a happily married woman who has a daughter, and is already six months pregnant when she has doubts if she really wants another child and wonder if she should choose the option of a late-term abortion.

Selected films in original German language with Vietnamese and English subtitles or voice-over, which have been particularly successful in cinemas around the world as well as at the Berlin Film Festival and other festivals, will showcase the remarkable dynamism and creativity of the German film industry, genres ranging from drama to adventure and comedy.

Director Anne Zohra Berrached, as a special guest will present her film “24 weeks” in all five cities.

Ticket sales start on August 25th. Ticket prices in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City are VND 20.000 (USD 1). Tickets in Da Nang, Hai Phong and Hue are free of charge and will be available from August 28th.
