(VNF) – A sewage outfall was transfered to Vinh Khang commune, (Vinh Loc district, Thanh Hoa province) by Good Neighbor Vietnam (GNV) on December 2.

With total value of US$ 160,663 (~VND 3.6 billion), the project aims to help improve environmental hygiene in Vinh Khang commune. It was kick started in March, with several tasks, such as: building 2,175 meters of sewage outfall, installing 40 containers to store used packet of pesticides, spraying anti-mosquito chemicals, conducting training on the management of waste and propaganda on environment protection.

After the inauguration ceremony, residents of Vinh Khang commune took part in a village’s road cleanup campaign.

In addition, in the afternoon of the same day, the Environment Day was celebrated with exciting activities such as propagandistic drama competition, test on knowledges of Environmental Law, rules of the communes on environment protection.
