With this agreement, customers in Vietnam using the “super express” option on Swift247 will see their goods delivered via GrabExpress delivery services on Grab’s platform and via VietJet aircraft as fast as within five hours between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

Founded only in February this year, local logistics startup Swift247 offers both courier and e-commerce services. Through its web and mobile app interface, customers can choose a delivery time and track the delivery process. Without its own fleet, Swift247 acts as an aggregator that links up different service partners, with Grab and VietJet as its first major ones.

The firms say the strategic partnership allows them to develop low-cost solutions for road and air mobility. Grab and VietJet said they will focus on research and development to integrate digital platforms to potentially expand this model to other Southeast Asian markets.

In the future, Swift247’s app will potentially be integrated into Grab’s platform.

GrabExpress’ services in Vietnam currently include only inner-city delivery services such as on-demand, same-day delivery, and cash-on-delivery.
