Granting quota for sugar products imported from Laos
(VNF) - The Prime Minister (PM) has agreed to the proposal of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development on adding import quotas to sugar products produced by Hoang Anh - Gia Lai Group in Laos, in a deal worth 50,000 tonnes of commodities which are offered a preferential import tax rate of 2.5%.

He asked the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance to regulate management methods on sugar imports and direct tax rates on the sugar import quota in accordance with decree 187/2013/ND-CP of the Government.
In January 2015, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development agreed with the Ministry of Industry and Trade on an import quota of 81,000 tonnes of sugar./.
