The Ha Long Bay Marathon Run will be kick started tomorrow, April 1st

According to the organizers, with a hope to bring new smiles and new lives to unfortunate kids, for all the running categories, each athlete who registers by entering the “SMILE2018” into promotion code will contribute USD 10 (VND 230,000) to the life-changing surgeries.

Ha Long Marathon 2018 is also the first in a series of 28 international events of Quang Ninh province celebrating the national tourism year. It presents full range of distances for runners from different walk of training to Full Marathon, Half Marathon, 10km, and 5km.

There will also be an auction to raise charitable fund in the evening prior to the main event.

Operation Smile Vietnam is a charity organization that provides free reconstructive surgeries to children born with facial deformities.

In nearly 30 years of operating in Vietnam, Operation Smile has transformed the lives of more than 40,000 children and teenagers by bringing back the smiles to their faces.

In 2018, the organization is targetting to bring 3,000 new smiles to Vietnamese children with facial deformities./.
