The plan aims to help the city achieve agricultural production of VND250 million per hectare; 347 communes and 10 districts reaching the standard of new style rural areas; per capita income increasing to VND49 million per year; and 100% of residents having access to safe water by 2020.

Synchronous solutions will be carried out to realize the targets, focusing on re-structuring agricultural production to commodity production, applying advanced and sustainable science and technology into production, and ensuring food safety.

In addition, the city will support the expansion of rural service systems, and invest in the building and upgrading of medical and cultural constructions, as well as recreation areas for children.

The plan will be carried out with over VND70 trillion, including VND32.7 trillion to be spent investing in agricultural development, building new style rural areas and increasing farmers’ incomes./.
