Hanoi University of Science and Technology

On February 27, the QS announced top universities ranked based on 48 disciplines, grouped into five broad subject areas with 1,222 universities from 153 countries.

This is the first time Hanoi University of Science and Technology was ranked in the QS ranking by subjects and had three subjects got into top 500.

Its Computer science and information systems department was ranked in 501-550 group, Engineering-mechanical, aeronautical and manufacturing was ranked among 451-500 group and Engineering-electrical and electronic was among 401-450 group.

The criteria for the rankings are academic reputation, employer reputation, research citations per page, and the h-index which is a way of measuring both the productivity and impact of the published work of a scientist or scholar.

This confirms the university quality as the Engineering-mechanical, aeronautical and manufacturing and the engineering-electrical and electronic departments have the employer reputation of 61.3 and 61.9 respectively on the scale of 100.

In the QS Asia University Ranking 2018-2019, Hanoi University of Science and Technology was ranked in 261-270 group, 30 places higher than the previous year.
