HAUFO delegation offers incense and flowers at Hanoi’s Martyrs Cemetery
(VNF) - On occasion of the 70th anniversary of Martyrs Day (July 27th, 1947 – 2017), on July 26th, the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations (HAUFO) organized a delegation offering incense and flowers for the Vietnamese soldiers who sacrificed their lives for national independence at the Nhon Martyrs Cemetery in Hanoi and presented gifts to policy beneficiaries of Bac Tu Liem District.
Joining the delegation was Chargé d’affaires of Colombia to Vietnam, Claudia Liliana Zambrano Naranjo; Francisco Martin Lobo, representative of Embassy of Argentina in Vietnam; Can Viet Anh, Permanent HAUFO Vice Chairman and other officials and staff of the HAUFO as well as representatives of the Vietnam-U.S. Society, Vietnam-Laos Friendship Association and the UNESCO Association of Hanoi.

In the solemn atmosphere, the delegation respectfully placed flowers, offered incense and spent several minutes commemorating the heroic martyrs.
The delegates expressed their gratitude and deep appreciation for the huge contributions made by the war martyrs, who laid down their lives to bring independence and freedom to the country and happiness to the people.
The delegation then visited and presented 20 gift packages, worth VND 1 million (USD 44) each, to policy beneficiaries, heroic mothers, martyrs’ families and invalids in Tay Tuu and Lien Mac Communes, Bac Tu Liem District./.
