Ho Chi Minh city seizes over 2kg of crystal methamphetamine

The Police Department for Investigation of Drug-related Crimes (PC47) under the Ho Chi Minh city Police on September 5th reported that they arrested four people to investigate their illegal drug trafficking behaviour.

The four people are Vo Thanh Hoang (also called Phong); Tran Tan Loc, born in 1992; Nguyen Cong Toan, born in 1971; and Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, born in 1968, all residing in Ho Chi Minh city.

The case has been followed by the police for a long time, and Hoang and Khai were defined as the leaders of the ring.

The night of September 1st, they were arrested when Loc took Hoang to Khai’s residence in ward 11, Go Vap district to get drugs. The police seized 10 nylon packs containing nearly 980g of crystal methamphetamine, a motorbike and three mobile phones. Examining Khai’s house, the police seized nearly 993g of crystal methamphetamine and nearly 68g of heroin.

During examination, Nguyen Cong Toan, Khai’s boyfriend, appeared with a lot of suspect behaviours, the police checked and found two nylon packs containing 90g of crystal methamphetamine, a rulo gun and six dustshots, and a mobile phone in Toan’s handbag.

Meanwhile, another police examined Hoang’s residence in ward 9, Go Vap district, and seized VND140 million and many other related objects.

The case is under further investigation./.
