Ibaraki province presents cherry tree to Vietnamese Embassy in Japan
On November 5th, the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan organized a ceremony to plant a cherry tree, which had been presented by the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association of Ibaraki province.
At the ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Nguyen Quoc Cuong expressed his honor when being presented the cherry tree by the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association, famous symbol of Japan and it is also loved by Vietnamese people.
The Ambassador hoped the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association of Ibaraki province will be a bridge to further promote the cooperation friendly relations between the two countries.
Speaking at the ceremony, Head of the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association of Ibaraki province Hiroshi Saito expressed his pleasure at presenting the cherry tree to the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan.
Mr. Saito hoped the cherry trees will bloom flowers symbolizing for friendship between the people of the two countries.
Ending the ceremony, Ambassador Nguyen Quoc Cuong, Congressman Akihiro Ohata and Head of the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association Ibaraki province Hiroshi Saito joined hands to plant cherry tree in the main campus of the Embassy./.
