Inspection over of fire prevention to be carried out in karaoke venues
The Department of Fire Fighting and Prevention and Rescue Police (C66) under the Ministry of Public Security has asked localities to inspect fire prevention work in recreation centres that often gather a attract large numbers of people, especially at centres facing high risk of fire such as karaoke venues, bars and restaurants.

The request was sent to Directors of Public Security and Directors of Fire Fighting and Prevention Police of centrally-governed provinces and cities in an express dispatch.
The dispatch clearly noted that since the beginning of this year, the country has reported 23 fire cases of fire in karaoke venues, causing big considerable losses in both life humans and propertiesy.
Especially, on November 1st, the karaoke venue fire blaze in Hanoi’s Cau Giay district which torne through 4 neighbouring buildings reported caused a serious loss of life in humans and propertiesy.
To realize the directions of the Prime Minister and leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, C66 asked localities across the country to carry out general inspection over recreation centres, especially karaoke venues, bars and restaurants where which face high risks of fire; instruct the centres to deal with any weaknesses in fire prevention; strictly punish violations of fire prevention; and increase the dissemination of fire prevention information.
Regarding the recent karaoke venue fire in Hanoi, C66 requested the city Public Security and Fire Fighting and Prevention Police to promptly work with relevant agencies to overcome the consequences of the fire; investigate and make a conclusion about the fire; and clarify the responsibility of agencies and inpiduals towards the fire for punishment, based on legal regulations./.
