International bazaar 2016 to help Syrian refugees
On May 4th, the United Nations Women's Guild (UNWG) and more than 70 permanent diplomatic missions hosted an international bazaar 2016 at the headquarters of the United Nations in New York, to raise funds to help Syrian refugees.
At the bazaar, visitors could choose to buy traditional products of many countries and enjoy culinary arts of other countries from around the world.

Two kiosks of handicraft products and food of Vietnam attracted a large number of international friends to visit and purchase. The handicraft products were ordered from Vietnam, while the main dishes were prepared by staff from the diplomatic Vietnamese mission.
Speaking at the bazaar, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon said proceeds collected from the bazaar to help the Syrian people are not large, but have great significance.
He also noted the time of organization of the fourth international bazaar, while the United Nations is simultaneously starting two important processes of social development and climate change fighting. Therefore, events at the bazaar are opportunities for countries to be closer and to join hands to build a more prosperous and sustainable world.
