The event, themed "At the heart of Asia’s food inspiration", will attract more than 300 enterprises from 36 provinces and cities of Vietnam and 19 countries and territories such as Belgium, Cambodia, China, Cuba, Czech Republic, France, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Laos, Mongolia, Myanmar, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Singapore, the Republic of Korea, Taiwan (China) and Thailand.

They have registered more than 500 booths displaying products and technology in an area exceeding 10,000 square meters, thereby exceeding the target.

The industries that will be displayed at the event spread various sectors, such as agricultural products; raw seafood and processed seafood; processed food and beverages; machinery and equipment; technology for food processing, food preserving and packaging technologies; and food safety and hygiene technology.

Vietnam Foodexpo 2015 expects to host large numbers of visitors, close to 30,000, especially from international business. There have been series of trade unions, potential buyers from domestic localities and from abroad such as South Korea, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Japan, Nigeria, Paraguay, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and China that have registered to visit and have transactions at the exhibition.

On the sideline, the exhibition will include the 2nd International Conference of the Vietnam Food Industry (Food Vietnam 2015) taking place on May 14^th. The conference will be offering solutions to increase product-value, improve competitiveness, and enhance the ability of Vietnamese enterprises to join into the global value chain in order to enhance approach and market development of Vietnamese food products.

The exhibition will also concurrently have a series of other events such as trade seminars between enterprises of Vietnam and those from abroad; a contract signing ceremony; culinary demonstrations; prizes for enterprises having innovative creative products; prizes for beautiful booths of organizations, localities and enterprises participating in the exhibition; Miss 2015 Foodexpo award; and food factory tour.
